Judith E. Wolfe and Brendan N. Wolfe were the executive officers of the Oxford C.S. Lewis Society and are joint editors of The C.S. Lewis Chronicle, now The Journal of Inklings Studies.

Musical Director:
Jonathan Butcher

Jonathan Butcher has conducted at all the major London Concert Halls, including The Albert Hall, Barbican and South Bank and St. John's Smith Square. At present, he is conductor of the National Symphony Orchestra of the I.A.P.S., and musical director of the Surrey Philharmonic, Isle of Wight Symphony and Westminster Philharmonic Orchestras. He has also been artistic director of Surrey Opera for some 27 years, and is co-founder and artistic director of The North Downs Music Group. He knows Perelandra intimately, having conducted it in a chorale version under the direction of Swann himself.

Neil Jenkins and Rupert Forbes sang ‘Lewis’ and ‘Humphrey’ in the premiere of the opera in 1964.

Leon Berger

Leon Berger is the Administrator of Donald Swann's Estate. He has directed several of Swann's operas with the composer's collaboration, and has directed and performed in major roles with the Royal Opera House, English National Opera, Welsh National Opera, Scottish Opera, New Sadler's Wells, Pavilion Opera, and with many touring companies.
